Greece-based Mapidima "Bally" Smart has been recalled by Amajita coach Serame Letsoaka for the Metropolitan Cosafa Youth Championships in Kimberley from November 27 to December 7.

Letsoaka is using the tournament to sharpen the team for the 2009 African Youth Championships in Rwanda in January.

"We have managed to put up a squad for the tournament in Kimberley, it was a bit difficult because the majority of the clubs will only release their players next week," Letsoaka said.

Moroka Swallows will only release their players, Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Phumelelo Bengu next week. Kaizer Chiefs have agreed to release Tlou Molekwane and Mandla Masango but made it clear to Letsoaka that they won't get goalie Thela Ngobeni with Emille Baron nursing an injury.

Ajax Cape Town have allowed Thulani Serero and Thulani Hlatshwayo to join the team but will not be releasing Sameegh Doutie.

South Africa are hoping to reclaim the title after losing 3-1 to Zimbabwe in last year's final.
