Disgruntled residents of two villages at Letaba municipality in Limpopo have threatened to protest at Kgapane Stadium near Modjadjiskloof, where ANC president Jacob Zuma is to address a rally during his visit to the area on Wednesday.

This is after what residents say is the municipality's inability to provide them with basic essential services like water and electricity.

The residents' spokesman, Isaac Sekgodiso, said the protest would be attended by residents of Mandela Park and Burkina Faso villages.

He said residents in the area had been living without water and electricity for the past 10 years.

"At the moment, we share water with cattle and goats in dirty wells and we fear we will be infected with water-borne diseases such as cholera if this problem is not taken seriously," Sekgodiso said.
