Defending champions the Titans hope to make an impressive start in their opening MTN Domestic Championship game against the Diamond Eagles in Bloemfontein today.

Elise Lombaard, the team's chief executive admitted yesterday that it won't be an easy task to overcome the Eagles, who are among the best in the domestic competitions.

But the Titans have promised to leave no stone unturned to start the season on a winning note.

Said Lombaard: "The morale is high in the team. The players are in fine fettle and determined to continue where they left off last season."

She added that they intend to sweep the board in this year's domestic competitions the SuperSport Series, MTN Championship and Standard Bank Pro20 series.

Cricket South Africa's domestic newcomer of the year, all-rounder Roelof van der Merwe, is expected to continue with last year's superb form.

In their second encounter on Sunday, the Titans host the Warriors at SuperSport Park, Centurion in Pretoria.

The Warriors will be boosted by the return of the Proteas ODI vice-captain Johan Botha, Test star Ashwell Prince and left-arm seamer Lonwabo Tsotsobe.
