Yesterday the hospital said the nurse showed no trace of the fever and was no longer infectious.
"Tests have been run three times over the past few days and all the results came back negative," said spokesman Melinda Pelser.
"She has been moved from the intensive care unit and is being treated as a ward patient," Pelser said.
"She will remain in normal isolation to assist in her recuperation for another 10 days."
The nursing sister was diagnosed with viral haemorrhagic fever by the National Institute for Communicable Diseases on October 12. It is believed she contracted the virus through one of the people who died of the fever.
Pelser said: "At present we are monitoring 39 people who came in contact with one of the five people confirmed to have had the fever, and none of them are showing any signs of the disease. - Zinhle Mapumulo
