Malls have already put up their Christmas trees and other decorations. They have also started playing carols in shops.

Malls have already put up their Christmas trees and other decorations. They have also started playing carols in shops.

All this means that the holiday season has officially started and that it is time for family fun.

During this time malls organise interesting fun activities for the whole family.

Look for these activities so that children are not bored and are kept entertained during the holidays.

Keeping the young ones entertained during the holidays should be easy with theatre, sports and other activities that the whole family can take part in.

To keep children entertained, parents should check out children's plays that are on this season.

Most theatres stage Christmas or religious plays that are very engaging and fun at this time of the year.

For instance, the Montecasino Theatre is staging Beauty and the Beast until December 7.

The play is a musical fairy tale based on the 1991 Oscar-winning Disney animated film.

The stage adaptation tells the story of a strong-willed young woman, Belle, who breaks the spell that has turned a handsome prince into a monstrous beast.

Certain cooking schools are also offering lessons for the young ones. Children like creating food and enrolling them for cooking lessons is a good way of keeping them busy while also teaching them about healthy eating habits.

Check out cooking schools near your area that offer lessons for children. You can even attend the lessons with your children for family fun.

Another interesting diversion is to have a family day at the zoo. Children love animals and it is fun to see them up close. You can end the day by having a scrumptious picnic.

On the theme of learning, libraries also host interactive story reading and other fun stuff for children aged between three and six years.

Some libraries host similar events for older children. So find out what is happening at your nearest library.

If your children are interested in nature you can also take them on walks or even a guided tour through a nature reserve.
