Newsman Xolani Gwala and live-in girlfriend Zodwa Nogilana are reportedly back in each other's arms.
The pair broke up just after their child was born in 2002. They got back together early this year, and split again just before Gwala was appointed at 93.6 Ram FM, a radio station in Israel in the Middle East, as news editor.
An SABC colleague of Nogilana's told Sowetan that Gwala, who is back at the SABC, had been seen driving Nogilana's Renault and the two had been observed together at work stealing kisses and hugs. Both Gwala and Nogilana refused to confirm or deny that they were back together.
"I'm not interested in talking about my relationships," Gwala said. "It is a personal issue."
Nogilana referred Sowetan to Gwala.
"I'm not confirming or denying anything. Ask Xolani," she said.
The duo's relationship has not been a walk on the park for Nogilana.
Nogilana's colleague said just before Gwala left for the Middle East they had a fight when Nogilana caught Gwala with another woman.
An angry Nogilana reportedly scratched Gwala's Audi A4 with a piece of wire after she allegedly caught him with the woman at his complex in Southgate. But Gwala denied the incident.
"This is ridiculous," an angry Gwala said. "Nothing like this ever happened. Some of these personal stories border on insult."
Gwala is no stranger to controversy.
In 2006 he was taken to court by his former lover, Unathi Mabandla, over their child Yingcwaliso.
He reportedly argued that he could not pay R2500 because it was was too much.
