Three more runners to skip Summer Cup

Three runners have been pulled out of the Grade 1 Steinhoff International Summer Cup.

The race takes place at Turffontein Racecourse on Saturday 29 November.

El Padrino, Matreshka and Awesome Double, who sadly died last month, were removed from the list of nominations.

The R2million race to be run over 2000m on the standside track.

They join Gilded Minaret, who was withdrawn last week.

There have also been a number of adjustments to the original published weights following the running of the Charity Mile November Handicap and Sunday's Victory Moon Handicap.

Likeithot has been penalised 1kg for his Charity Mile win while Smart Banker has been lifted to 57,5kg from 53,5kg after his facile win in the Victory Moon.

Mike de Kock's runner, Rudra, has gone up 2,5kg to 58kg after finishing second in both Grade 2 races.

At this stage Catmandu, Eddington, Equal Image and She's On Fire share top weight of 60kg.

Final declarations take place at 11am next Monday with the final field being announced at 3pm that afternoon.
