Premier Soccer League rookies Bay United are called Wavuth' Umlilo by their supporters and, living up to that name, the team has already set Mamelodi Sundowns on fire twice this season.

Many soccer fundis had thought the Brazilians were in with a chance to avenge their 1-0 Telkom Knockout defeat a fortnight ago when the teams met again in a league encounter last weekend.

The league match is part of the highlights on the African Soccer Television show, which airs on SABC1 Sport's Laduma programme at 2.30pm on Sundays.

The package features a one-on-one interview with former Orlando Pirates coach Kosta Papic, who is now head coach at Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak.

There is also the Tanzanian league derby where Young Africans (also known as Yanga) handed their arch-rivals Simba their first defeat in eight years. The only goal of the game was scored by Ben Mwalala from a well-taken pass by Boniface Ambani from the right flank.

Two early goals handed Egypt's El Ahyl a handy 2-0 win over Coton Sport of Cameroon in the first leg of the African Champions League final on Sunday.
