After taking a two-year break, Afro-pop star Thembisile Ntaka is back in the music scene.
Ntaka announced her return with the album she will be promoting at the Oude Meester Ekurhuleni Comes Alive at Birchwood Hotel in Boksburg on November 7.
Born in Hammarsdale, KwaZulu-Natal, Ntaka will not be alone. She will be sharing the stage with Paledi Nathi Malatji and Ntando Bangani.
Malatji is also the lead singer of jazz group Labantu. The singer will be performing here for the second time in less than four months.
The Limpopo-raised singer, songwriter and pianist, Malatji is one of the most talented singers in the country. The release of The First Prince showcases the talent of the singer, who has been around in the industry for some time.
Also added to the bill this time around is Ntando Bangani, who has been quiet for some time now.
His album, Uhambo Lwam, whichwas released last year, received massive airplay for some time. Ntando had disappeared for some months, only to resurface in the nomination list of the Metro FM Music Awards 2008. Unfortunately, his name was removed from the nomination list because the album was released last year.
His album boasts an incredible Afro-pop sound, and shows he has reached his prime. Tickets cost R250 per person and R2500 per table of 10.
