ANC misleading masses

Gwede Mantashe mentioned on national television that former president Thabo Mbeki distanced himself from Mosiuoa Lekota's party and affirmed his support for the ANC.

This was said after Mbeki wrote a letter to the ANC addressing and clarifying certain issues he felt he had to correct.

Jacob Zuma said that Mbeki did not give Lekota his blessing on the formation of the new party. From the beginning, Lekota maintained that Mbeki was never part of the breakaway party, so I fail to understand the need for Zuma to even entertain this issue.

Be that as it may, both Zuma and Mantashe are trying to tell the public that Mbeki is on their side, which is doubtful, so I say they are distorting the truth.

This is the same man who they publicly humiliated and said the ANC had lost confidence in when they unceremoniously recalled him.

What irony. They only need Mbeki when it suits them so that they can garner more votes next year. I feel sorry for the masses who lack information and can easily be misled by irresponsible, lying and selfish power-mongers who believe they are born to be leaders at the expense of the poor.
