Limpopo has introduced its first electronic booking system for learners' and drivers' licences.
This should speed up the notoriously slow and inefficient process, MEC for roads and transport Justice Piitso said at the launch of the system yesterday at the Tzaneen testing station as part of the Transport Month celebrations.
Piitso said the booking and issuing of learners' and drivers' licences would now be much faster.
A similar system is being implemented in Marble Hall.
The old manual system made it easy for criminals to steal and fraudulently sell licences. Piitso said people who booked appointments would be given a time and date, but wouldn't know who would test them.
