Two Limpopo men arrested in connection with the murder of a mother and her son in Seshego two months ago were denied bail yesterday.
Karel Mkhabela and Joel Matabane were arrested for the murder on August 23 of Mkhabela's wife Felicia and son Musa.
Matabane allegedly killed the woman by stabbing her. His four-year old son, was strangled to death.
The bodies were discovered on August 27 when a concerned neighbour went to visit them and was met by a nasty smell.
Mkhabela was not home, but when he returned police took him in for questioning. They initially released him when they could not link him to the crime.
Further investigations led to the arrest of Matabane, a neighbour, and Mkhabela was also arrested.
The case was postponed to October 31.
