If you are one of those people who believe that laughter is the best medicine, then Comedy Nights is right up your alley.
Though Comedy Nights takes place for the first time at the University of Johannesburg on October 23, excited organisers say it will be a yearly event.
Judging from the line-up of comedians, the event will be spoken about long after it ends.
Comedians such as Kagiso Lediga, Trevor Noah, Chris Forrest, Loyiso Gola, David Kibuuka, Joey Rasdien and Eugene Khoza will have you rolling in the aisles.
Noah is fast becoming one of this country's most popular comedians.
The funny man who has performed at various comedy events began his life as a comedian in a cameo role on the popular SABC3 soapie Isidingo in 2002.
After that, Noah hosted an educational show for SABC2 for two years. He later hosted his own radio show on Yfm and called it Noah's Ark.
Khoza, who will have you in stitches too, has been described as a new-age comedian. His jokes break down boundaries and build bridges at the same time.
His hilarious and witty dialogue always leaves audiences hoping that he never stops.
Comedy Nights organiser Nthabiseng Phakela says: "We have partnered with Podium Entertainment to bring this comedy event to life.
"We intend this to be the first of many Comedy Nights at the university and we hope to make it an annual event at the University of Johannesburg," Phakela says.
