Performers who sing in Xitsonga will battle it out for the Munghana Lonene FM music awards that are to be presented at the end of November in Gauteng.
The categories in which they will compete include Best Newcomer, Gospel, Xitsonga R&B, Rhumba, Disco, Traditional, Female, Male, Group-Duo, Most Popular Song and Artist of the Year.
Two top artists, Nico Makelana and MJ Hlungwani, will be honoured with Living Legends awards.
"We are preserving our culture, heritage and language through these awards," said station manager Tsakani Baloyi.
James Shikwambana, acting marketing manager of the radio station, said: "I can't believe we started way back in 2002. We definitely owe a special thanks to our loyal sponsors, the PFM Group of companies."
The music awards ceremony will be held in Kyalami on November 28.
