Although the win was too little too late, it helps to boost our morale because we had slumped to an incredible 85th spot in the Fifa rankings.

Even though we didn't qualify for Angola 2010, at least we finished in a respectable second spot on the log, behind the all-conquering Nigeria.

I hope we continue our winning ways against Ghana tomorrow.

Unfortunately, the entire nation did not get to see the game in Malabo, thanks to the SABC's gross incompetence. They failed to organise visas in time, thus denying the entire nation the right to watch the much-needed morale-boosting victory.

The SABC doesn't seem to learn from its previous errors. Instead, the broadcaster threatens people who do not pay their television licences, while showing the paying public next to nothing on the screen.

All the SABC knows is to show the public delayed games, late at night.

The entire nation deserves a formal explanation and apology on this issue.
