The case against C-Max escapee Annanias Mathe was postponed by the Johannesburg high court yesterday.
Judge Geraldine Borchers postponed the matter to next week Monday when a trial date would be set. The postponement was because Mathe's advocate, Liz Serrao, was busy finalising fees with the Legal Aid Board on behalf of his client.
Mathe appeared in the dock guarded by police officers armed with sub-machineguns.
Mathe, pictured, said he preferred a translator who was able to speak Mozambican Portuguese.
The Shangaan translator present in court would not be used during the trial. - Sapa
