If you thought you would have to drive all the way to Durban to enjoy the beach experience, complete with games and parties, think again.

Limpopo will be transformed into a coastal vision when it hosts the beach party at the Polokwane Showgrounds on December 16, from noon until dawn.

Music lovers from the peaceful province will be entertained by top artists such as Botswana's Spears, Senyaka, Brickz, Rhythm Elements (2 by 2), Mzekezeke, MaChance, Spikiri, Bojo Mojo, Mogwanti wa Pitori, DJ Sbu and Kapa Kapa.

Besides Mzekezeke, prizes of starter packs, hi-fis and cellphones, music and fun lovers will add their voices to those decrying the parasitic tendency to pirate artists' intellectual property.

To have an artists to wear the crown and entertain others while alive, only to be destined for a pauper's grave, is an unfortunate circumstance that has to be dealt with now.

To be present at the first of many beach shows in this neck of the woods, tipped to become a yearly event, get yourself to the Polokwane Showgrounds.

Tickets cost R100 at Computicket and Shoprite Checkers and R110 at the gate.
