Set to plunge you into the festive season with a bang are gospel heavyweights such as BeBe & Cece Winans, Pastor Shirley Caesar and Joyous Celebration.
The gospel extravaganza starts on November 30 at the Coca-Cola Dome in Johannesburg. On December 3 moves to the CRC Church in Bloemfontein, on December 5 to the Mmabatho Convention Centre in Mafikeng, on December 6 to the Nelspruit Showgrounds, and on December 7 to the ICC in Durban.
The tour, dubbed "A Life Changing Experience", will take gospel music lovers on a nostalgic trip that will see them spiritually healed by classics and a couple of new songs.
Joyous will provide audiences with a memorable mix of gospel hits from the traditional, soul, R&B and jazz perspective.
BeBe Winans is a groundbreaking inspirational R&B and gospel vocalist, writer and producer. He has won four Grammys, 10 Dove Awards, six Stellar Award, two NAACP Awards and a Soul Train Award.
Cece Winans boasts a Grammy and Stellar and Dove awards and several gold and platinum albums apart from those she scooped with brother BeBe as part of the hit-making duo BeBe & CeCe Winans.
Caesar is said to be the standard-bearer for traditional African-American gospel music.
A solo performer for more than 40 years she has collected numerous awards, including 10 Grammys, and continues to deliver Christian messages in electrifying songs and sermons.
Local acts set to beef up the Healing the Nation Tour in the other centres are William Sejake (of Joyous Celebration) and Tshidi in Bloemfontein, Rebecca Malope in Mafikeng, Hlengiwe Mhlaba, Sipho Makhabane and Benjamin Dube in Nelspruit for the show that starts at 2pm.
Durban will be blessed by the appealing sounds of Joyous Celebration. Tickets are available at Computicket and Shoprite Checkers countrywide.
