Khabonina Qubeka, below, says joining SABC3's drama series The Lab is an honour and an advancement in her career.
Qubeka played Doobsie in Muvhango until last year when she vanished from the small screen.She says she is excited to finally get a big role in a drama series.
Qubeka plays Faith Diliza, a bitchy character, in T he Lab.
"If people thought Doobsie was a bitch, they've seen nothing yet.
"Faith is streetwise. She owns a jewellery-manufacturing company, but does shady deals in between. She is very powerful. Police and gangsters respect her."
She says Faith is the kind of woman people hate.
"She is a mysterious character. People will get deep into her life and hate her."
Qubeka also has a clothing label called Ripped- Out.
