The 2008 Channel O Music Video Awards, the continent's most popular event, will once again move to a new home when they take place at Carnival City in Brakpan on Thursday.

Categories up for grabs include: best newcomer, best male video, best female video, best newcomer video, best group video, best dance video, best ragga dancehall video, best R&B video, best kwaito video, best African Southern video, best African West video, best hip-hop video, best special effects video and best director.

Equally interesting is this year's Channel O and The City of Ekurhuleni dropping a brand new eight-part music TV show called Many Nations One Award. Its main objective is to support the 2008 Channel O Music Video Awards.

Produced by Bounceback Media and sponsored by the City of Ekurhuleni, the series will air exclusively on Channel O.

It will take viewers all over Africa, profiling nominees from Botswana to Tanzania, Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, Namibia, Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe. Channel O VJ Rachel Stuart is the man to envy as he spends a day in the life of all 52 nominees.

If you want to be part of the mink and manure on the night, hurry along to Computicket, where you can get your tickets for R100.
