Mamelodi Sundowns' executive technical director Ted Dumitru says he remains focused on his job at Chloorkop despite the supporters' call for his scalp.

Dumitru is accused of interfering with the first team by the supporters.

Angry supporters called for his immediate expulsion following the side's 4-2 defeat by the venturesome Lamontville Golden Arrows in a Absa Premiership match at Super Stadium on Saturday night.

"Ted must go! Ted must go now!" sang a group of supporters after the match as Dumitru was escorted out of the stadium by a police casper.

But Dumitru reiterated to Sowetan yesterday that he was not interfering with the first team.

"The coach is Trott Moloto and I don't dictate to him on what to do with the first team," he said.

"I'm dealing with the development and I'm not the head coach. I sometimes see the starting line-up a few minutes before the kickoff.

"There are people who are misleading the supporters about my position at the team," he said without mentioning the people involved.

Moloto, who was cheered by the supporters when he left the stadium, said silly mistakes cost them the tie.

"We also conceded an early goal and, really, we were up there with Arrows but we will recover," he said.

The Brazilians were without Benedict Vilakazi, Sibusiso Zuma, Surprise Moriri, Lerato Chabangu and Collins Mbesuma due to injuries.

Mbulelo Mabizela was nowhere near the stadium on the night as he was still reported missing.

Manqoba Mngqithi, the astute Arrows' coach, said of Abafana Bes'thende: "They are hungry and always work hard and this makes my job easier."

Mngqithi was congratulated by club boss Mato Madlala via a cellphone while he was being interviewed by Sowetan.

Kagisho Dikgacoi and Joseph Musonda struck for Arrows in the fifth and 27th minutes, but Dario Monteiro reduced the arrears in the 39th minute.

Richard Henyekane made it three in the 77th minute but Katlego Mphela retaliated for Downs with a clinical header from a Dillon Sheppard cross a minute later.

Henyekane struck the insurance goal three minutes from time.
