Pan Africanist Congress of Azania stalwart Benson Mnguni died this week and will be buried tomorrow in Mohlakeng, Randfontein .

Bra Benson was sentenced to five years for PAC activities after his arrest in 1963.

He served his term on Robben Island and in the Victor Verster and Stofberg prisons before his release in 1968.

He was involved in a car accident about two weeks ago at an intersection in Randfontein and never really recovered.

He died on Sunday.

Mnguni, 65, was a staunch member of the Roman Catholic Church, where his funeral service will be held from 8am until 11am before proceeding to the Mohlakeng Cemetery.

He is survived by two sons, two daughters, a brother and sister.
