Ernestman FC secured the Schloss Cup title when they overwhelmed Raiders 2-0 in a thrilling final at Milpark Stadium at the weekend.

The champion's goals came in each half through striker Walter Jele in the 29th minute and the evergreen Clarence Lekhuane in the 50th minute.

Ernestman got a trophy and gold medals while the runners-up collected silver medals.

Tournament director Dennis Tshabalala was satisfied that the tournament was well-attended. The inaugural tournament was staged in honour of BidVest Wits' former official, Ronnie Schloss, for his contribution towards the Wits football success.

The weekend competition marks the finale of all sporting codes on the campus and the new season programme kicks off in February.

A prize-giving ceremony was held on the day, and David Webster Hall FC walked away with gold medals and a new soccer kit for winning the Premier League.

Medical Students FC got the gold medals for lifting the First Division League, while the South African Union of Jewish Student got a trophy and gold medals for winning Super Cup League.
