Kaizer Chiefs Under-17 team got off to a flying start after walloping FC AK 2-0 in the DFX Platinum Stars Under-17 tournament at Modderfontein Sports Ground yesterday.

The maiden tournament was launched on Sunday in Johannesburg, and 20 teams will pit their skills against each other in the next five days.

Under the tutelage of Doctor Khumalo, Chiefs' juniors were 1-0 up at the break after striker Pule Matlong found the net with a classic goal.

With no respond from the Eldorado Park juniors, midfielder Tshegofatso Ramabo sealed the game for Amakhosi towards the end of the game.

In other games, BidVest Wits ran riot over PJ Stars with an emphatic 5-1 victory while Uniao and Tuks played to a 1-1 draw.

Today's fixtures: Field 1: CL FC v Luso Africa; BidVest Wits v University of Johannesburg; Wings United v BK Callies.

Field 2: FC AK v Sun City Rockings; Balfour Park v Royal Bafokeng.

Field 3: Kaizer Chiefs v Rustenburg Athletico; Thabisong Academy v Rockings; Wits v Kopanong BD.
