Sweden's golfing sensation Annika Sorenstam will make her third visit to South Africa when she officially launches Euphoria Golf Estate and Hydro near Naboomspruit in November.
The launch will include the opening of the golf course, academy and club house.
The day includes a number of activities starting with a coaching clinic conducted by Sorenstam that will be followed by a celebrity shootout at the first hole.
Sorenstam will later take part in an 18-hole golf tournament with the day ending with a cable-car ride to the top of the mountain followed by dinner.
The official opening is a significant milestone for Euphoria Golf Estate and Hydro, which has been transformed from a dream into a reality in less than four years.
It also offers nature drives, night game drives, hiking and running trails, mountain biking, bird watching, quad biking and fishing.
An equestrian, sport, business and shopping centre will also be built next year as well as a hydro, chapel and child care centre.
"This will be the first golf estate to be opened by Annika on the African continent," said Natalie van Berk, the Euphoria Estate sales marketing manager. "She has opened other golf courses around the world."
Van Berk added: "She is the only female golfer in the world to have shot a 59."
Sorenstam said: "I am looking forward to seeing the progress at Euphoria since my last visit and can't wait to officially open my first signature golf course in South Africa."
