Shame on South Africa as Bafana Bafana failed to overcome Nigeria in a crucial clash in Port Elizabeth.
Bafana lost by an odd goal to an under-strength Nigerian side that actually had nothing to lose but their pride since they had already qualified for African Cup of Nation (Afcon) in Angola in 2010.
Even the influence of the highly rated Benni McCarthy did not come to our rescue.
We will not participate in Afcon in Angola and this raises questions, especially since we are hosting the World Cup in the same year.
What are we going to show the world as hosts of such a prestigious soccer showpiece?
Bafana haven't learnt anything from the past. They have not learnt that they cannot win games unless they score goals.
We cannot keep on saying they played well as a team if Bafana simply have not mastered the basics of scoring goals.
We are now officially confirmed as the whipping boys of African football and the whole world.
How could a minor team such as Sierra Leone qualify ahead of us?
Judging by the financial support we get, we are disappointing and the sooner we learn that talk is cheap the better.
