Baroka FC maintained their lead on the Limpopo Vodacom Promotional League log when they beat Lephalale Young Killers 1-0 at Lebowakgomo Stadium on Saturday.

Baroka made it six matches with a clean slate and remain the only club in the league with maximum points.

They had a good week after they walloped FC Tebcon 5-0 during the preliminary round of the Nedbank Cup on Wednesday.

Khurishi Mphahlele, the club's boss, said the boys are motivated by the incentives that they are receiving.

"We have resolved to give away a cellphone to our man of the match as part of the incentives, while the whole club gets something for a victory. Up to this stage, I am impressed by the players' good display," Mphahlele said yesterday.

"We will do all that is possible to ensure that we maintain the good standard that we have initiated since the beginning of this season. The resources are available and need to be used fruitfully to the benefit the whole club," he added.

Hard on Baroka's heels are Manenzhe Liverpool with 16 points from the same number of matches, while Masemola Di a Rora are third with 14 points.
