The Tsitsikamma National Park in the Eastern Cape contains a stretch of coastline that simply takes your breath away.
Fishermen scurry over rocks like giant crabs in an attempt to secure a prime fishing spot; divers don their wetsuits before venturing into another world under the sea; boats are launched to join the dolphins frolicking in the breaking waves; children squeal with delight as the rough seas pound the shoreline.
It is one of those "must-see" spots and was fortunately part of the route for the launch of the new Chrysler Dodge Journey last week.
It's somewhat of an institution in the land of the Stars and Stripes (US) and today's new entrant, the Journey, has been designed for the sports utility vehicle segment and will be looking to capitalise on the outdoor, feel-good kind of lifestyle.
The Journey is described as a "five-plus-two" so officially it is a seven seater but for comfort purposes it's best to keep it less.
An innovative feature in the Journey is that the front passenger seat has what they label "Flip 'n Stow".
The front cushion can be easily removed to reveal a large storage area. In fact right through the vehicle, storage areas of various sizes are available and neatly hidden away.
Locally the Dodge Journey will be available with two engine derivatives - a 2,7litre petrol (R259900) and a 2,0litre turbo diesel (R349900).
It sports a whole host of goodies - both in the entertainment field and safety range - while the ride itself is extremely comfortable.
Safety features on the Dodge include airbags, ABS brakes and electronic stability programme (ESP).
The Journey offers a good alternative to those looking for something different in terms of style and interior design.
And it comes with a three-year, 100000km warranty.
