Time for the PAC to unite

Allow me to make this brief appeal to the warring factions in the PAC, led by Letlapa Mphahlele and Thami ka Plaatjie.

Allow me to make this brief appeal to the warring factions in the PAC, led by Letlapa Mphahlele and Thami ka Plaatjie.

Could you, in the interest of the PAC and its masses, please see the light, bury your differences and work towards strengthening the party?

The people are yearning for a change in the status quo, which is fraught with a lack of service delivery, corruption, arrogance and immoral leadership.

The infighting is not helpful. Please be honest and ask yourselves this simple question: do you really have what it takes to lead this august party and take up the challenge of contesting for the highest office in the land - the presidency of South Africa?

Do you honestly believe that you have the leadership qualities to lead and represent this beautiful country?

Please understand that the PAC and SA are bigger than the two of you. Just think about it: what would happen if you forgot your differences, reunited the two factions and started to prepare for the 2009 elections?

Can you imagine what would happen if you held a unity conference, invited every Africanist and elected a dream government?

It is high time egos and self-interest took the backseat.

Mahlomola Khumalo,

Pretoria
