"These individuals are obviously driven and inspired by the rare qualities of love, human solidarity and ubuntu.
"Communal societies of the past were characterised by these values, which were the epicentre of life in those communities.
"We would know, for instance, that parenthood was a shared responsibility, which resided among members of the community.
"Education and the dispensing of justice were also seen as a community responsibility.
"This is why we believe that community members themselves could best tackle many of the challenges which the government deals with today. This means that we do not always require a bureaucratic response by government to address some of the challenges which communities themselves can address.
"We believe, for instance, that issues such as crime and moral regeneration can be effectively addressed at a community level if our communities are united and organised.
"Community building is about activism.
