Clearwater Mall has recently been identified as one of the best shopping experiences in the northwestern suburbs of Johannesburg.
It is situated on the rapidly expanding residential corridor along Hendrik Potgieter Drive at the intersection of the main East West arterial Christiaan de Wet Road.
The centre boasts 65000m2 of prime retail space, and includes major stores such as Pick 'n Pay, Woolworths, Edgars, Stax, as well as an entertainment court with a full cinema complex by Nu Metro and several restaurants, fast food outlets and coffee shops.
The mall is designed in a triangular format, with an anchor tenant at each point of the triangle.
The court is central to the triangle, with access to each of the three malls. It is open to the sky with grassed areas, trees and a continental pavement cafe atmosphere.
To solve the problem of cold Johannesburg nights, the court has a retractable roof, which encloses the restaurant zone when required, but lets in fresh air and sunlight when the weather is warm.
Named after the stream and waterfall at the neighbouring Kloofendal Nature Reserve, the water features that abound in the centre bring a tranquility to the mall that takes the stress out of the shopping experience.
One of the five entrances gives central access to the entertainment court and incorporates a drop off zone for the cinemas.
The mall opens to a street pavement atmosphere and the Ocean Basket and JB Corner restaurants open to views of the Magaliesberg to the north.
Clearwater Mall consistently offers shoppers exciting events to diarise. From September 5 to 7 the mall will host The Learning Point Expo, showcasing South Africa's finest education establishments, providing choices to meet the demands of pupils with differing interests and needs.
