A number of housing delivery challenges will come under the spotlight today in Mpumalanga's Nkangala district.

MEC for local government and housing, Candith Mashego-Dlamini, will meet with those involved in housing delivery and deliberate on challenges impeding delivery.

The awarding of contracts to builders, good building standards, registration with authorised institutions and the quality of houses are among issues to be discussed.

Departmental spokesman Freddy Ngobe said: "The stakeholder's workshop is a series of many the department is undertaking to create an enabling environment with service providers for better housing delivery."
