The Vodacom Inter-school Challenge moved to a higher level as Limpopo and North West produced their provincial representatives to join the race for a ticket to Turkey next year.
The national championships will be held at Safa Development Centre in Klipspruit, Soweto, from October 1 to 4.
National champions will take home R200000 and represent the country at the School World Championship in Turkey from April 3 to 13.
Thirteen goals were scored in four matches, leading to Khaiso beating Hudson Ntsanwisi 1-0 to clinch the provincial title at Tshifulanani Stadium in Thohoyandou.
Saturday's result was sweet revenge for Khaiso, who were beaten 1-0 by Ntsanwisi during the provincial championships of the Cola-Cola Cup earlier this year.
Seshego-based Khaiso started the tournament on the rampage when they thrashed Mogudi from Tafelkop 7-0 in a one-sided semifinal match.
Ntsanwisi's road to the finals was easy as they pipped Wisdom Academy 1-0 in the preliminary rounds before walloping Madikana 4-0 in the semifinal.
The two schools will represent Limpopo in the national championships.
"We will focus on our shooting and and high balls where we struggled against Ntsanwisi.
"We will play a series of competitive friendly matches to ensure that the boys are sharp for the national championships," Sello Chokoe, Khaiso's coach, told Sowetan yesterday.
St Mary's and Seiphemelo will represent North West after they outclassed their opponents during the provincial championships at Tshing Stadium in Ventersdorp.
St Mary's pipped Seiphemelo 4-3 through penalties after they played to a goalless draw in regulation time.
The four schools will join Mpumalanga's Langa and Ithafa, Northern Cape's Riet Rivier and Orion as well as Free State's Reinyakaletse and Concordia in the national championships.
The next provincial contest will be at Matatiele Stadium [for Eastern Cape] on Saturday.
"We anticipate a stiff contest in the national championships judging from the provincial championships," tournament coordinator Themba Tshabalala said.
