Limpopo police yesterday exhumed the body of a man who had had his testicles cut off, his brain removed and the blood drained from his body.
The body of Clearance Brown, 25, was exhumed from the Oakley Cemetery near Bushbuckridge for forensic tests.
Brown was killed on the night of February 23 after he was allegedly ambushed on leaving a drinking spree.
His body was thrown on to the road in a apparent bid to make it look as if he had been run over by a vehicle.
Meanwhile, a fourth man, Simon Nkosi, 32, was arrested on Wednesday night in connection with Brown's murder.
Nkosi appeared before the Mapulaneng magistrate's court the same day and was remanded in custody pending his next court appearance.
He will appear with three other men who were arrested earlier. They are businessman Floyd Mokoena, 58, his son Sydney, 33 and Mjojo Justice Ndubane, 28.
The men will appear in court again on Tuesday.
Mokoena (Floyd) allegedly asked his son to look for body parts belonging to a relative so they could strengthen his businesses and attract customers.
He claimed a sangoma had told him that the parts should be removed while the victim is alive.
His son allegedly hired friends to help him carry out the deadly mission. They ambushed Brown, whose mother is Mokoena's (Floyd) sister.
The suspects allegedly cut Brown's testicles off, drained his blood and removed his brain and certain bones.
"The accused have admitted to the gruesome murder," said Captain Leonard Hlathi. "The exhumation was necessary to make a watertight case."
