Gospel music lovers should get ready for a dose of spiritual upliftment when Joyous Celebration takes to the stage at Gold Reef City this weekend.

The group's performance starts tonight at 7pm at the Lyriv Theatre and will continue until Sunday.

After an exciting performance in Pretoria, North West, Port Elizabeth, Cape Town, Mmabatho and Swaziland, the group is back in Jozi by popular demand.

Having begun its spiritual phenomenon in 1996, Joyous Celebration has made a name for itself on the local music scene.

The group will use this performance to celebrate its milestones, featuring stars such as Margaret Motsage, Kekeletso, Thabo Mdluli and Swazi Dlamini.

After a successful stint with Joyous Celebration, Dlamini decided to venture into a solo career. She is now regarded as one of the most talented jazz singers in the country.

Motsage, who has just released a gospel album last week, is looking forward to show music lovers that she has what it takes to really succeed .

After four years with Joyous Celebration, Mdluli also felt he was ready to pursue a solo career.

He has since established his own R&B solo career and has worked with various artists of note.

Tickets are available at Computicket.
