Local boxing history will be made next week when three International Boxing Federation (IBF) title elimination bouts take place on these shores.

Three local fighters, Jeffrey "Mongoose" Mathebula, Malcolm "The Stone" Klassen and Zukisani "Troublemaker" Kwayiba will fight two Mexicans and a Columbian.

Mathebula from Limpopo will take on Julio Zarate for the IBF junior featherweight title, and the winner will challenge champion Steve Molitor.

Klassen from Toekosmrus will fight Manuel Medina for the right to challenge the winner of the IBF junior lightweight clash between champion Cassius Baloyi and Javier Osvaldo Alvarez.

Mdantsane fighter Kwayiba and Ronald Barrera will fight for the right to challenge IBF mini flyweight champion Raul Garcia. Zarate and Medina are from Mexico while Barrera comes from Columbia.

This memorable event will be presented by Branco Sports Production (BSP).

This shows the reputation that BSP has throughout the world.

This multi award winning boxing consortium of Branco Milenkovic and Jacob "Baby Jake" Matlala has represented many local fighters internationally.

They were involved in the WBC International bantamweight eliminator between Vus'Umuzi Malinga and Veeraphol Nakhonluang in Thailand in June.

They presented the dual IBF lightweight and flyweight eliminators featuring Ali Funeka and Zahir Raheem, and Moruti Mthalane against Hussein Hussein, in East London last month.

Meanwhile, Mzonke "Rose of Khayelitsha" Fana will dust of the cobwebs against Mexican Ruben Estanislao over 10 rounds in one of the other undercard bouts on Friday.
