It never rains but pours at Soweto's community radio station Jozi FM.

Yesterday staff members at the Dube-based station were in a day-long meeting following the arrest of one of the station's managers for theft.

Captain Philemon Khorombi confirmed the arrest.

"A suspect was arrested and charged with theft and will appear in court soon," Khorombi said, adding that the charge related to missing funds at the station.

Station manager Nono Mchunu was holed up in a meeting with the staff yesterday and could not be reached for comment.

The 12-year-old Jozi FM has been plagued by internal squabbles, including allegations of mismanagement of funds and unfair dismissals.
