The futures of four Greater Letaba municipality managers are uncertain after the council refused to renew their contracts yesterday.
A protracted council meeting to renew the contracts of Helge Kruger, Kenneth Shingange, Elias Mangabidi and Castro Maenetja allegedly hit a brick wall.
The managers allegedly had to go home depressed after their efforts to have their contracts renewed came to naught during a special council meeting.
The council allegedly resolved to "ignore" their pleas and embarked on a process to advertise the posts.
According to municipal manager Sakkie Isaac Mutshinyadi the four employees will serve their notices until November 30 when their contracts lapse.
