A policeman was arrested yesterday in a drugs bust - and the scene of the drama was the corridors of justice.
The sergeant was apprehended by security officers for allegedly trying to smuggle 2kg of dagga into the Port Elizabeth magistrate's court building.
The court orderly tried to enter the court room building at lunch time with a supermarket cooler bag packed with dagga. Security officers told the policeman to put the bag through an X-ray machine, which he was reluctant to do. They then searched the bag, found the dagga and arrested him.
The man was charged with possession of dagga but more charges could be brought against him later. - The Herald
