Safa will lodge a complaint with Fifa if Mamelodi Sundowns refuse to release their players for the Bafana Bafana friendly against Australia in London next Tuesday.

The players in question are Sibusiso Zuma, Katlego Mphela and Surprise Moriri.

"It's simple as that, we will write a letter to Fifa first thing on Monday morning. The match falls in a Fifa week," said Sipho Nkumane, Bafana Bafana team manager.

This comes after Trott Moloto, Downs coach, made it clear on Tuesday that they won't release their players for the game in London.

Moloto, a former Bafana Bafana coach who used to complain about the "club versus country" saga, said the R8 million MTN8 first prize was more important.

Sundowns take on arch-rivals SuperSport United in the first leg of their semifinal at Super Stadium in Atteridgeville on Sunday.

Kaizer Chiefs, whose goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune is still suspended following a red card in a league fixture last season, play Moroka Swallows in another semifinal at Loftus Stadium on Saturday.

"Ace Ncobo [PSL general manager] and I have been talking about this friendly on a regular basis, there is no dispute whatsoever," explained Nkumane.

"We made it clear from the onset that we have made proper arrangements for all the players in the MTN 8 games to board a flight to London on Sunday night.

"The team will be back in Johannesburg on Thursday, so they will still be able to have their players for the return matches.

"People have been saying all sorts of things, but we are working well with the PSL."
