Joe Calzaghe's super-fight with American great Roy Jones Jr will now take place on November 8.
The undefeated Welshman pulled out of their scheduled September 20 showdown at Madison Square Gardens, in New York, after injuring his right hand in training.
The light heavyweight fight has been rescheduled for the same venue.
Calzaghe, 36, and Jones, 39, are both expected to end their illustrious careers after the bout.
Calzaghe, who has ruled the super middleweight division for almost 11 years, was due to start a media tour of the United States next week until the injury occurred during his first training session in preparation for the original showdown.
Jones, an eight-time world champion in four weight divisions, won a unanimous decision over Felix Trinidad in his last bout in January. - BBC
