Nesengani Junior Swallows clinched the Safa Vhembe District's Champ of Champs trophy in style when they clobbered Thembaluvhilo Seven Stars 6-0 at Tshifulanani Stadium, near Thohoyandou, on Saturday.

Swallows won the R10 000 first prize.

Swallows meant business from the opening minutes of the match and were rewarded when Shandukani Mukoma took the lead in the 10th minute.

Two minutes later Ntsieni Makhado increased the tally to 2-0 from the penalty spot.

Ntakuseni Mudau made it 3-0 towards the dying minutes of the first half. He completed his brace in the second half.

Mulalu Mlaudzi scored two quick goals to cement Swallows' victory and make it 6-0.

"I am impressed by my boys' performance and wish that the same performance be displayed in our maiden appearance in the regional SAB League towards the end of this month.

"They played according to our game plan hence it was very simple to thrash our opponents," Benjamin Muhlaba, Swallows' mentor said yesterday.

River Bank's chances of being crowned champions were dashed by Mulodi Freedom Birds who walloped them 5-1 in a one-sided opening match on the day.
