Kaizer Chiefs coach Muhsin Ertugral sees a bright future following Amakhosi's 4-0 demolition job over Santos in a MTN 8 quarterfinal match at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Saturday evening.
Even though thrilled with the outcome, Ertugral said they were still looking for a top-class striker who would replace Mabhuti Khenyeza.
Khenyeza left the team under for AjaxCape Town.
"We are desperately looking for an international star who will add value to this predominantly youthful team,'' said Ertugral, who smiled from ear to ear during the post-match interview.
On a sad note, Ertugral pointed out that new recruit Valery Nahayo may be out for six weeks after twisting his ankle and was later substituted by Mokete Tsotetsi.
"Nahayo's injury may perhaps need an operation and that will keep him out for a month,'' said Ertugal. He sustained a knee injury.
Gert van Schalkwyk shone like a meteor on Women's Day as he scored a brace and was named man of the match, which goes with R8 000 prize money.
Schalkwyk, who at some stage was demoted to the PSL reserves league, proved to his critics that he is not finished yet.
While the scoreline may seem embarrassing, Santos did not give up without a fight though.
