The results of the matric rewrite exams in Gauteng have been out for two weeks, but candidates are not collecting them.
This, according to the Gauteng department of education, is worrying as candidates have only until September 30 to register for next year's May-June rewrites.
Unlike the December matric results, which are published in newspapers, candidates who sit for rewrites are supposed to collect their results from centres where they wrote themselves.
"If the results are not collected from the centres within five working days they are sent to the district offices," said the department's Nanagolo Leopeng.
