The Limpopo man who shot and killed his wife and three children because he suspected her of infidelity will stay in jail a while longer.
This after the Thohoyandou magistrate's court denied Mishack Kharivhe bail and ordered that he be remanded in custody.
Magistrate Willem Smith said on Friday Kharivhe's testimony did not persuade the court to release him since he could be a danger to society.
He said Kharivhe deserved to be tried while in prison.
Kharivhe's trial will last for five days from October 27.
Kharivhe is accused of killing his wife Winisani Kharivhe, 28, and his children Zwonaka, 9, Thendo, 3, and nine-month-old toddler Maduvha in April at Mukula village outside Thohoyandou.
During his unsuccessful bail application last week he stripped naked in court and demanded to be sent for mental observation.
