Spokesman Aveline Hardaker said six to eight men blew up ATMs in Irene at about 3am and forced the guard into their car.
"The dog bit one of the men. The guard and his dog were dropped off unharmed at Vorna Valley," she said.
Another guard patrolling the area was shot in the face .
