You are right, minister, we have been lenient and understanding for far too long when it comes to unruly foreigners.

I know some of their countries hosted our people during the struggle.

But I also know that in those difficult times our people did not undermine the rules and regulations of the countries they were in.

I don't think there is another country that could do what South Africa has done for them, so the least they can do is appreciate it and adhere to the rules of the country.

I am impressed by the minister's actions but don't understand the thinking in creating special courts to deal only with xenophobic attacks as speedily as possible, while law-abiding South Africans are being murdered and raped daily and the suspects are handled with kid gloves.

Why can't special courts also be created to deal speedily with murderers and rapists?

Or was it just a publicity stunt when our government said it would create special courts for xenophobic attack suspects?

I am not xenophobic at all. I love my brothers and sisters from across the border but they have to understand that there are rules and regulations to be adhered to.
