Police have offered a R25000 reward for information leading to the arrest and successful prosecution of the most wanted suspect in the killing of farmer Gwendolyn Smith on the KwaZulu-Natal North Coast.

Police said Mzwakhe Lucky Mbuyazi, aged between 20 and 30 is, known by many names such as Mzwe, Mlakies or Tornado.

He was allegedly in cahoots with three other suspects, who stormed Wind Fall Farm in Monzi last month and killed Smith.

It is alleged that the three entered the home of Gwendolyn and Owen Barry Smith while the couple was sleeping and robbed them.

Police spokesman Jabulani Mdletshe said the suspects robbed the couple of two cellphones and R3000.

"Gwendolyn was shot and fatally wounded before the suspects ran away," Mdletshe said yesterday.

Anyone with information should contact Captain Nkosinathi Magubane on 035-550-0495 or 072-276-6243.
