Black Leopards' managers have urged their supporters to continue voting in the Telkom Charity Cup even if they do not qualify to take part in this spectacular tournament.

Lidoda Duvha brand manager Tshifhiwa "Chief" Thidiela said yesterday that they have been urging their supporters to keep voting because it was for a worthy course.

The tournament takes place at Mmabatho Stadium in Mafikeng, North West, on August 2.

"Although we're relegated to the National First Division, that does not mean that we can't vote. We've encouraged the needy organisations in Limpopo to apply for financial assistance from the Telkom Charity Trust," said Thidiela.

He pointed out that although currently it was a five-horse race to qualify for the one-day tournament, they believe their contributions will not go unnoticed.

Leopards, Dynamos, Winners Park and Mamelodi Sundowns will meet in the Limpopo Soccer Challenge in Polokwane on Sunday.

"It will be an ideal opportunity for us to further urge football lovers to continue voting, even if they vote for teams out of the Limpopo province," he said.

Leopards are eighth on the vote chart with 261 votes and it is apparent that fans have deserted Jomo Cosmos, who are positioned 15th with 47 votes.

The chart is led by Kaizer Chiefs with 33493 votes, followed by Mamelodi Sundowns in second place with 32906, Orlando Pirates in third place with 28759, Bloemfontein Celtic in fourth place with 25391 votes, while AmaZulu are fifth after amassing 23971 votes and Moroka Swallows are in sixth place with 2074 votes.
