Kwaito star Mandoza, real name Mduduzi Tshabalala, appeared in the Roodepoort magistrates' court on two counts of culpable homicide yesterday.
The case was postponed to August 21.
Curious onlookers scrambled to catch a glimpse of the singer as he dashed for a black Mercedes-Benz that had been waiting for him outside the court.
Mandoza was driving his Chrysler SRT when he allegedly crashed into the back of a VW Jetta on the N1 North near the Beyers Naudé off-ramp on March 3.
The two occupants of the Jetta, colleagues Felix Thebe and Charles Shabalala, died at the scene.
